Melicytus Ramiflorus

Description

Melicytus Ramiflorus (common name Mahoe) is a common small tree with a knobbly pale trunk and thin light green toothed leaves. Creates a thick and beautiful canopy that looks great as a specimen tree. Can be frost tender when young but once established will tolerate most conditions. Scented flowers appear in late spring and are yellow and small, followed by blueberries in late summer which are much loved by native birds such as the Kereru, and Tui.
